History
From the very beginning, First Assembly has had an enormous and generous heart for the mission of providing a solid Bible-based education for Christian children.
Back in 1969, Kiddie Kollege Nursery 
School for 3 and 4 year olds was established in the church on Oak Ave. In 1975, when the new church was established, the buildings were designed with a school in mind. Torrington Christian Academy opened its doors for the first time in September of 1978. The first year began with 4 Supervisors, 1 monitor and 60 excited students.
From that point forward, God has richly blessed the ministries of Kiddie Kollege and Torrington Christian Academy. We have had numerous expansion projects to accommodate the growing needs of the school. In 1982, a Gymnasium and Learning Center complex was added. In 1997, a little more than 2 acres 
of land adjacent to the church was purchased, this additional property provided expansion of the parking facilities and development of an irrigated Recreational Field, which was completed in 2000. As the need for more classroom space became apparent, a beautiful new Elementary Learning Center Complex was added in 2001. God has incredibly blessed T.C.A. and we give Him all the praise and thanksgiving.
God has also blessed the programs of Torrington Christian Academy. Through the years many Christmas and Spring Concerts have lifted praise to the the Lord through vocal music, instrumental music and drama. 
T.C.A.'s sports program has also been blessed to participate in many winning seasons in Soccer, Volleyball and Girls and Boys Basketball, including numerous Regional ACE Championships, NECSAC Championships, and Back-to-Back International A.C.E. Basketball Championships. To God Be the Glory!
